Hello there! I'm a wife and a mom of two boys (19 & 16) and two furry dog children.
Passion:
My love for all things movement used to be maxed out! I started doing high-impact aerobics in 1980, then in the 90s: I was competing in triathlons; ski patrolling in Santa Fe, New Mexico; guiding white water rafts in Alaska, Chili, the Grand Canyon, and the South West River System; as well as adventuring as a hiking guide. I took a brief break from extreme movement excursions for my two boys, but I was still drawn to my youthful movement-based lifestyle. So, I began to incorporate more balanced forms of exercise back into my life, and was very excited to share this experience with as many people as I could.
Previous work:
I became a certified Medical Exercise Specialist/Personal Trainer, Stott Pilates Instructor, Corrective Exercise Specialist, WSI/Aquia Master, and SPIN & Zumba Instructor. Professionally, I’ve taught in many high-end fitness clubs and was the Director of Recreations, Fitness, & Trails for an exclusive club for 11 years. There has never been a dull moment in my movement department, and I'm still at it!
Today:
I work with all athletes, golfers, and our golden age population on their core strength and flexibility — the core attributes that keep you safe, balanced, and injury-free. I have been a trainer, teacher, and motivator for over 20 years and love every time a new client comes to start their new movement journey with me.
Style:
My Pilates teaching is a fusion of Stotts Pilates training, weight workouts, integrated cardio, athletic/therapeutic stretching & Trigger Point Rolling. I create classes, sessions, and circuits that you can do with minimal equipment anytime and anywhere — for all you travelers, this is key!
Life Motto:
Movement and adventures bring SUNSHINE and JOY to my world! If I’m not with a client in my studio, I am hiking up a mountain, jumping on a river raft, or dragging my family to the beach to get our feet sandy with the dogs, of course!
I am truly grateful for the amazing friendships and adventures that have brought me to where I am today! I’m excited to meet new friends/clients and have some amazing new adventures!
